Squarespace Installation

Install the localbot form on your Squarespace site using Code Injection.

Install the localbot form on your Squarespace site using Code Injection.

Before you install the localbot form

If this site already has a working contact form, add localbot as another notification recipient first. The current form's email notifications can go to localbot with zero install friction. The full localbot form can be installed later and also takes about ten minutes.

Use this guide when you want localbot to provide the better intake form on the website instead of relying on a static contact page form. The localbot form should get more inbound contact requests from the visitors already on the site.

Time: About 10 minutes

Code Injection requires a Squarespace Business or Commerce plan. It is not available on Personal plans.

Install the localbot form

Open Code Injection

In your Squarespace admin, go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.

In the Footer field, paste your embed code:

<script src="https://www.localbot.io/api/widget/YOUR_WIDGET_ID" async></script>

Click Save.

Verify

Open your website. The localbot form should appear at the bottom of every page. Submit a test message and check your phone.

Troubleshooting

  • Code Injection not available: You need a Business or Commerce plan. Check your Squarespace subscription.
  • localbot form doesn't appear: Make sure you pasted in the Footer field, not the Header field. The Header field loads before the page body is ready.
